about Michael
Michael Stopp is the Executive Director and Chairman of the Board for the Native American Athletic Foundation (NAAF). A lifelong athlete, Michael played Division I football and rugby at the United States Military Academy, West Point. He has served as a varsity football referee for 18 years and is also a sports official in baseball. Additionally, he has been appointed Commissioner for the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission.
Beyond his work in athletics, Michael is actively involved in economic development across Indian Country through his firm Swift Creek, a Siemens Business Partner. Mike served as the Chief of Staff for Markwayne Mullin while he served in the United States House of Representatives. He is a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and of Muscogee (Creek) descent. Mike lives in Oklahoma with his wife, Brandy, and son, Nathan.
