about Mike

Mike Andrews joins the Native American Athletic Foundation as Secretary of the Executive Board. Mike has served as a Football Coach for over 17 years where he has produced five NFL players. Mike currently serves as Assistant Football Coach at Bowie State Univ. in Bowie, MD.

Previously, Mike served as staff director and chief counsel for the United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs under the leadership of Sens. John McCain, John Barrasso, John Hoeven and Lisa Murkowski. As staff director, Mike was instrumental in passing over 50 bills signed into law by Presidents Obama, Trump, and Biden. He also assisted with over 90 bills passed out of the United States Senate by unanimous consent and was responsible for passing more than 140 bills out of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee with strong bipartisan support. Additionally, Mike was responsible in confirming over 10 presidential nominees spanning three presidential administrations, as well as working on some of the largest appropriations funding programs in American history. Currently, Mike works at McGuireWoods, LLC where he leads the firms Native American Practice.
