NAAF is working with the Atlanta Braves to produce the Native American All-Star Showcase. This year’s showcase is June 19-22, 2025 at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA. The Showcase is a 3-day event where baseball players from across Indian Country spend one day working on skills including leadership, scholarship search, and positive coping skills. Day 2 is a clinic with former MLB players and coaches to hone their skills on the field and a third day playing an exhibition match. During the event, data is collected to help players in their recruitment efforts. Players and families get to hear inside knowledge from college recruiters and professional scouts about the recruiting process. Players are chaperoned by 10 mentor coaches provided by NAAF. The mentor coaches are Native coaches from around Indian Country and continue to serve as mentors after the players leave the clinic.
The Braves have hosted 3 Showcases (2022-2024). The 4th Showcase is scheduled for June 19-22,
2025 in Atlanta.
NAAF, plans to continue this relationship with the Atlanta Braves and develop regional camps to
begin engaging a larger number of Native Players to begin the mentorship and recruiting process
earlier.
